IT'S A DOGS LIFE!
We've all have had to sacrifice a lot during these tough economic times. But their dogs aren't having to give up very much. A poll by the American Kennel Club finds that an overwhelming majority of dog owners still put their dogs first.
--More than 96-percent would give up their daily trip to the coffee shop so Fido's needs could be met.
--97-percent would give up their massages and spa treatments to make sure they had enough money to take care of the dog.
--97-percent would also eat out less often to make sure their canine companion was fed.
--94-percent would buy fewer new clothes.
--88-percent would hold off buying a new car or would opt for a less expensive model in favor of meeting the dog's needs.
--72-percent would give up their gym membership.
--50-percent would cancel cable or satellite TV to save some money before they'd let their dog go without.
Really, I mean the Dog in the house ranks pretty high on the attachment meter, right behind the wife, kids, and X-box…
