Lynda Lambert

Lynda Lambert began her ascent to fame in 1979, when she was awarded the Miss Congeniality title at the Miss Oldham County Pageant. And her star has been rising ever since.

A native of Oldham county, Lynda graduated from Oldham County High School where she was heavily involved with the marching band. (She can tell more band camp stories than that girl from "American Pie.") Her education continued at the University of Kentucky, where she received her degree in telecommunications. She continues to bleed blue.

Originally bound for a television career, Lynda worked as a reporter in Lexington, Ky., and Bristol, Va., before landing a job back in Louisville at WHAS radio. But soon the west coast beckoned, and Lynda landed in Los Angeles, California, and began a long run (nearly 10 years) with CBS radio, both as a morning co-host for KCBS-FM radio, and as a national entertainment reporter for CBS Networks.

Now back in Louisville, Lynda lives with her husband "Thurston" (no it's not his real name) and their daughters Shelby and Barbara.

In her spare time, Lynda enjoys playing piano for her Church's choir, plus she is a member of the Louisville Fillies Club. She also spends time gardening, cooking, and shopping for shoes. "But my favorite hobby is smacking George and Aaron," she says.

She also loves it when people visit her profile page looking for Waverly Hills clues.  "I love driving people crazy with mindless internet goose chases," she says.  "But if they want to come up to Waverly with us on Halloween morning, they have to play along."

She suggests that if you want to get to the next part of the Waverly game, you find out the exact date that Waverly Hills Sanatorium first opened to administer patients.  The answer should be typed into the keyword search box in this format: mm/dd/yy.  Understand?  Hope so, or else you won't get tickets!
