10. That smug look on their face – and that snarky way they avert their eyes - when people ask if they have electricity
9. They don’t have to shower, shave, and pee by candlelight
8. They didn’t have to throw away hundreds of dollars of food from the fridge – including that brick of ice with small green beads in it that was a package of frozen peas in 2001
7. They have clean, neatly pressed clothes and smell slightly of downy fabric softner
6. They don’t have to go to bed at 8:45
5. They don’t have to sit around and talk to their FAMILIES all day (because these people are irritating)
4. They haven’t resorted to drinking warm coke straight from a 2-liter bottle because they’re out of clean glasses
3. Their hair doesn’t look like they just took off a football helmet at halftime
2. They got to watch the football game last night instead of listening to it on a crappy emergency radio
1. Because I didn’t like these people so much BEFORE everyone’s lights went out
